About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our Education team as a Teaching Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with high-functioning autistic spectrum disorders, including Asperger's Syndrome and associated difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering educational activities and supporting students with their work
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying degrees of emotional behavioral difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated difficulties
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting is desirable, but not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate resilience, communication, organisation, caring, and attentiveness in a challenging environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Commitment to ongoing training and career progression
