In the Group Communications sector, you will oversee the in-house events team, managing all aspects of event execution (both in-person and virtual) including planning, logistics, content development, budget oversight, on-site management, and post-event evaluation for various departments within the Tesco organization.

Your Responsibilities
Leading and nurturing a high-performing events team, providing them with opportunities to excel. Overseeing the line management of two event coordinators. Effectively forecasting and managing budgets, maintaining a cost-conscious approach across the entire events calendar. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to deliver exceptional events, ensuring all are aligned with brand standards. Managing multiple events simultaneously, taking full ownership of each project with team support. Creating event proposals for senior stakeholders and preparing all necessary logistical documentation for pre-event and on-site execution. Engaging with senior stakeholders and executive members with a high level of professionalism. Coordinating large-scale planning meetings to track event progress. Briefing and managing both internal teams and external agencies to facilitate successful event delivery. Serving as the primary contact for all event stakeholders, overseeing all aspects leading up to and during the event. Collaborating with various teams across the organization to enhance the visibility of event support and clarify the scope and responsibilities of the events team. Gathering and analyzing event feedback to assess success and areas for improvement. Staying informed about industry trends, venues, and creative event elements through site visits and supplier interactions. Maintaining strong communication with all event stakeholders and the broader communications department. Negotiating contracts with audio-visual and event management providers to ensure value delivery. Willingness to travel nationally and occasionally work overnight when necessary. Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and securing necessary certificates and licenses for events.Required Skills
Proven experience in events management. Expertise in managing senior stakeholders. Extensive experience in delivering events across various formats (in-person, virtual, and hybrid). Preferred experience in virtual event management.Benefits
