About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Public Health and Community Practice team at Devon County Council. As a Public Health Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in promoting health and wellness in our communities, working closely with families and children to deliver the Healthy Child Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Healthy Child Programme with Health Visitors, developing skills in public health and multi-agency working to support the health needs of children and families.
  • Develop and implement community-based initiatives to promote health and wellness, working in partnership with local stakeholders and organizations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and partners on public health issues and community practice.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to public health and community practice.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a strong background in public health and community practice.
  • Experience of working with families and children in a community setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
