We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Services Operations Manager to join our team at BDO. As a key member of our Advisory team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality advice and solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage internal audit reviews and regulatory assurance reviews within the Financial Services sector, providing value-add recommendations to senior management.
- Support Senior Management in developing and delivering the annual internal audit plan.
- Represent BDO at client meetings and attend senior management committee meetings.
- Be involved in key activities, including recruitment, budgeting, resource allocation, quality assurance, and the development of methodologies.
- Assist in the development of our internal audit service offerings and the training of staff.
- Ensure projects are well managed and commercially viable by budgeting effectively and billing clients promptly.
- Attend networking events and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and promote BDO's services.
- Extensive internal audit or regulatory assurance experience working within or with Financial Services.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services sector and the UK regulatory environment.
- Have undertaken a range of internal audit or advisory assignments and have an understanding of internal audit methodology and techniques.
- Recognized accountancy or internal audit professional qualifications and/or memberships, such as ICAEW, CIMA, CIIA, or ACCA.
