About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead the delivery of electrical works on site, overseeing both self-delivery and sub-contracted elements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-value projects and will be a leader who can adapt, listen, and effectively manage and support their team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of Laing O'Rourke safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • Deliver the sub-project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme, and to stringent safety parameters
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short-term programmes of work
  • Manage the budget and delivery of the section of the project
  • Ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce
  • Plan the programming of day-to-day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
  • Interface with other construction managers and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation
  • Monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change
  • Lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress, and design
  • Ensure effective implementation of Laing O'Rourke project management systems and procedures
  • Chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute, and carry out all actions
