As a key member of the company's Geo-Environmental department, you will be responsible for creating and driving the vision for the team, working on a wide range of projects across various sectors in the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the Geo-Environmental team, comprising a Principal, Senior, and Graduate Engineer, to deliver high-quality projects.
- Design and implement projects in accordance with British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, NHBC, and other relevant guidelines.
- Develop and maintain internal QMS procedures, ensuring all designs comply with the company's protocols.
- Coordinate and supervise client interactions, offering innovative designs and design documentation.
- Oversee the tender process, producing precise contract documentation, and manage projects of all sizes, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
- Lead the site investigation process from concept to completion, coordinating with other professionals and contractors as needed.
- Mentor less experienced team members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Hold a degree in a relevant engineering subject.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar engineering consultancy role.
- Chartered geologist, Engineer, or Scientist.
- Commercially aware, with the ability to attract and develop business opportunities.
- Proficient in technical design packages, including SlopeW, and software such as Holebase.
- Expertise in foundation design, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment.
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and technicians.
- Full driving license and use of a car.
- Salary up to £70k (dependent on experience).
- 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
