Job Description

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Environmental Director to join our Planning and Environmental Consent team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in securing and delivering our international environmental services, managing multi-disciplinary teams, and championing high standards of environmental performance within engineering projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality environmental services and projects.
  • Develop and pursue new business opportunities, including leading or supporting on tenders and framework bids.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to generate opportunities and deliver environmental services.
  • Manage project inputs from various disciplines, working across AtkinsRéalis and our consultant network, and manage client communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across the organization to position ourselves well in the market, assemble technically excellent project teams, and deliver high-quality quantitative analysis and written work.
Requirements:
  • Chartered Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Economist with demonstrable experience in providing ESIA, ESDD according to international standards.
  • Significant experience in understanding and addressing environmental and social risks and impacts of infrastructure projects.
  • Leader, key expert, or project manager on international ESIA and ESDD according to international standards.
  • Understanding clients' needs and balancing them with lenders, regulatory, and stakeholder requirements and local context to successfully obtain planning/financing.
  • International Development and Cooperation experience and strong organizational skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and to deadlines.
