About the Opportunity

In the role of Lead Compliance and Risk Strategist, you will be instrumental in driving our organizational objectives through effective risk oversight and compliance protocols. This pivotal position will assist our Compliance Director in safeguarding financial integrity and providing strategic insights to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with our overarching business aims.

Core Responsibilities

Risk Oversight:

  • Establish and refine the enterprise risk management framework, identifying and evaluating risks across various sectors, and delivering insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Direct the creation and execution of Control Risk Self-Assessment initiatives for first-line operational teams.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Perform regulatory landscape analysis to pinpoint emerging compliance requirements and industry developments.
  • Craft and implement the annual compliance oversight program, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal governance policies.

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Oversight:

  • Supervise pre-engagement evaluations for prospective clients and vendors, ensuring compliance with AML legislation.
  • Develop and execute a thorough ongoing monitoring strategy for AML-related risks.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Demonstrated expertise in risk oversight and compliance within a regulated financial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and best practices in risk management, compliance, and AML.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across all levels.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAMS, ICA, CRISC) are advantageous.
