Position Overview:

InterQuest Group is seeking a Senior Risk and Compliance Analyst to enhance our team within a Payments organization. This role focuses on the critical aspects of onboarding new clients while ensuring ongoing compliance monitoring of our current customer base. You will play a vital role in guaranteeing that our client onboarding procedures adhere to regulatory requirements and align with our internal risk management frameworks. This position provides substantial flexibility and may involve occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Onboarding: Execute thorough Know Your Business (KYB) evaluations for new clients, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Evaluation: Develop and refine risk assessment methodologies to analyze customer risks during both the onboarding process and ongoing evaluations.
  • Compliance Investigation: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective clients to confirm adherence to regulatory and policy standards.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: Systematically review and analyze the existing customer portfolio to detect any compliance risks and ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance activities, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed reports to senior management regarding customer risk profiles, emphasizing any significant trends or concerns.
  • Remediation Strategies: Formulate and oversee remediation plans for clients failing to meet compliance standards, tracking their progress and providing internal updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in risk management, compliance, or financial crime prevention.
  • Comprehensive understanding of payment services and the e-money sector, particularly regarding card schemes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate strong relationships across various levels and regions.
