Key Responsibilities:
- Inspire, lead, and support a team of revenue and visiting officers to attain outstanding performance.
- Foster a culture of high performance, quality standards, and a customer-centric approach within the team.
- Provide training, guidance, and oversight to staff, helping to develop their skills and maximize their potential.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of Business Rates administration and proactively stay informed about new legislation or guidance as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external agencies to resolve issues efficiently.
- Allocate tasks effectively, offering guidance on the interpretation of regulations and legislation to meet ambitious collection goals.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in leading and coordinating relevant services, with a history of effectively supervising, supporting, and monitoring staff.
- Strong relationship management capabilities, with clear communication skills and the ability to foster collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
- A commitment to excellence, with a proactive approach to delivering exceptional services in challenging situations and tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of Business Rates administration and the confidence to navigate regulatory frameworks.
