About the Role
Sense is a leading charity that supports people with complex disabilities. We're looking for an experienced Shop Manager to join our team in Barry, working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team of volunteers, drive delivery of standards, operational and customer service excellence, and maximize vital income generation for the charity.
Some key areas of ownership for the successful applicant include:
- Building, training, and inspiring a great team of volunteers
- Delivering superb shop standards, offer, and customer engagement
- Driving stock generation and community engagement
As a Shop Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in raising brand awareness and income to make a difference to the lives of the people we support. Each year, over four million people buy an item from us, making our shops a vital part of our charity's success.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Self-motivated, creative, and a great communicator with a positive commitment to working in charity retail
- Experience of inspiring a team to provide excellent customer service
- An eye for detail to ensure a safe, clean, and inviting environment for customers, staff, and volunteers
- Experience of working in a retail environment or within a team leader position
This position requires the applicant to be willing to work Bank Holidays and weekends as required.
