About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a SEMH Secondary Teaching Assistant. As a key member of our provision, you will play a vital role in supporting students with emotional and social difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, promoting positive relationships and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, with a focus on de-escalation and crisis management.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
