Job Summary:
We are seeking an exceptional and experienced nurse to join our Oncology and Haematology Helpline team at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will possess excellent organisation, communication, decision making and motivational skills and will be a positive role model to other members of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality care to patients with cancer, utilising significant experience in caring for patients with cancer.
- Administer IV medications, cannulation, venepuncture, care of central venous access devices, and be accredited in the administration of cytotoxic medications.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide outstanding compassionate care, in line with the Trust's vision.
- Participate in the development of the service, contributing to the further growth and improvement of the team.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in caring for patients with cancer.
- Competence in cannulation, venepuncture, care of central venous access devices, and administration of IV medications.
- Accreditation in the administration of cytotoxic medications.
