Area Cleaning Manager Job Description

Job Purpose:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the client account, including overseeing the cleaning and covering of sites as required. This will involve holding area holiday planners, ensuring cover is in place for all planned absences, and conducting audits on sites to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations in the client account, including overseeing the cleaning and covering of sites as required.
  • Hold area holiday planner & ensure cover is in place for all planned absences.
  • Conduct audits on sites to ensure compliance with cleaning standards.
  • Plan & complete all additional works requested by site within agreed timescales & to budget agreed.
  • Conduct monthly site visits to check on service performance, support staff needs, and client liaison on all sites.
  • Provide support for business needs and adjoining accounts as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all colleague training is up to date including inductions, refresher training, machinery & tool box talks.
  • Ensure all site compliance documents are up to date & completed – where appropriate.
  • Ensure all risks, hazards & incidents are reported, investigated & any remedial actions completed.

Requirements:

  • Multi-site cleaning management experience, ideally experience with mobile cleaning and retail environment.
  • Strong degree of flexibility with regards to travel.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Highly operational with a commercial focus.
  • Ability to manage direct reports, ensuring cleaning standards are met.

Working Hours:

Full Time & Permanent Position | 40 hours per week | 5 days out of 7 working patterns

Location:

Covering sites in South England | Worthing (South) | Oxford (Central) | Southampton/Exeter (West) | Milton Keynes (East) – Candidates must be very flexible with regards to travel.

Benefits:

Included: Company Vehicle, laptop, mobile phone & Fuel Card

Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on business needs, with all hotel accommodation and costs paid for by the company.
