As a Logistics and Key Control Coordinator, you will oversee the efficient management of the Transport Yard through both manual and digital systems, supporting the Transport Office Manager and ensuring that our logistics operations run seamlessly. Our logistics team plays a crucial role in maintaining the flow of mail transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the allocation and retrieval of essential items such as folders, keys, number plates, and log books.
  • Update records as necessary in coordination with Network Planners.
  • Oversee vehicle allocation and maintenance using BAT, M5, and ISOTRACK systems.
  • Ensure the daily upkeep of digital tachograph systems, including vehicle downloads.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and administrative staff via phone.
  • Coordinate with shunters, gatehouse personnel, and bay marshals through radio communication.
  • Compile and update system VOR reports regularly.
  • Monitor and receive fuel deliveries.
  • Schedule collections as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the Transport Office.

In addition, you will assist the Distribution Manager with:

  • Vehicle planning to meet quality and cost objectives.
  • Monitoring fleet performance for legal and cost-effective vehicle usage.
  • Coordinating planned vehicle maintenance with workshop services.
  • Addressing emergency vehicle issues to ensure operational continuity.
  • Reviewing health and safety protocols, including risk assessments and compliance with local procedures.
  • Tracking arrival and departure times for network operations.
  • Updating and maintaining driver records.
  • Managing driver card downloads and compliance with key card protocols.

• Proficient in administration and computer skills

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and take pride in your work


• Must possess a full UK manual driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
