Security Officer Opportunity at Heart of Yorkshire Education Group

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our Estates team at Selby College campus. As a Security Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide front of house security services, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all
  • Undertake security duties, including opening and closing the campus, securing and alarming buildings, and conducting regular patrols
  • Monitor security and report any issues through appropriate channels
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and visitors, remaining calm and professional in a range of situations
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in front line security
  • Hold a SIA Licence
  • Be First Aid trained or willing to undertake this training
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
