About the Role

Citigroup Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Credit Portfolio Risk Management Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team, you will play a critical role in our First Line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Analysis: Develop and implement frameworks for portfolio risk assessment, evaluating credit and financial performance across various lending products and industry segments.
  • Risk Identification and Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, working closely with our front line businesses and Independent Risk partners to ensure best-in-class risk and controls.
  • Documentation and Administration: Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Stress Testing and Monitoring: Conduct regular stress tests and monitor portfolio performance, providing recommendations to portfolio owners on risk appetite and underwriting criteria recalibrations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in wholesale risk management or equivalent training and experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Credit and Risk Principles: Demonstrated ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals, with a strong understanding of credit policies, industry regulations, and governance items.
  • Interpersonal and Analytical Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment and exercise independence of judgment.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a Master's degree preferred.
