About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join the finance team of a rapidly growing manufacturing business based in the North of England. As a Senior Purchase Ledger Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the company's purchase ledger function, working closely with the finance team to process foreign invoices, manage supplier relationships, and maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process foreign invoices for importation, ensuring accurate and timely payment
  • Manage supplier relationships, including setting up new suppliers and resolving discrepancies
  • Perform statement reconciliations and assist with payment runs
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and tax codes for foreign imports and shipping
  • Complete C79 reconciliations and resolve discrepancies between goods received and invoices
Requirements
  • Experience working in a high-volume processing position, ideally on a large ERP-based system
  • Knowledge of duty tax and VAT codes for foreign imports and shipping
  • Experience completing C79 reconciliations
  • Understanding of goods in and stock management in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
