Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced practice supervisors to guide and oversee social work practice within our assessment and intervention teams. The role of the practice supervisor is crucial in ensuring high-quality service delivery to achieve optimal outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commit to safeguarding children and enhancing their welfare.
  • Support the professional growth of others, including students and newly qualified social workers.
  • Aim to elevate social work standards as we pursue outstanding practice.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of effective social work assessment and planning.
  • Chair multi-agency meetings effectively.
  • Provide high challenge and high support to team members.

As a practice supervisor, you will oversee a small team of social workers and family support workers engaged with children under child in need or child protection plans, as well as those involved in care proceedings. Your leadership will be vital in developing and enhancing the skills and experiences of your team, enabling them to deliver exceptional services to children, young people, and their families.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Social Work England (SWE) recognized Social Work Qualification and be registered with SWE.
