Social Work Practice Lead

Job Summary
Kirklees Council is seeking an experienced social worker to fill the role of Practice Supervisor - Assessment and Intervention. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting a small team of social workers and family support workers in their work with children under a child in need or child protection plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of social workers and family support workers in their work with children under a child in need or child protection plan.
- Provide leadership and direction to your staff to enable them to provide exceptional services to our children, young people, and their families.
- Share your expertise and provide guidance on high-quality social work assessment and planning.
- Chair multi-agency meetings and provide high challenge and high support to those you are working with.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to child protection and family support.
Requirements
- A Social Work England (SWE) recognised Social Work Qualification and registration with SWE.
- An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
