About the Role

We are seeking a highly committed and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Haxby Road Primary Academy. The successful candidate will work closely with our SEN team to provide support to children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to children with SEN, promoting their learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning plans.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons, ensuring that children with SEN are fully included.
  • Use positive behavior management techniques to promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure that children's needs are met.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with children with SEN, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications and training, such as a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
