About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team at Bluetownonline. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for leading projects that deliver IT-based solutions for our students and staff.

With a strong background in project management and a sound knowledge of IT and emerging technologies, you will have a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will be a hands-on leader who is committed to taking a practical approach to project management, with a strong focus on delivering results and exceeding expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects that deliver IT-based solutions for our students and staff
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including stakeholders, vendors, and internal resources
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external partners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree and/or equivalent professional current project management certification (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2, APMG, PMP)
  • Strong knowledge of IT and emerging technologies, including software development, infrastructure, and security
  • Proven experience in project management, including leading complex technical projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in large organizations, managing change, and delivering projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
