We are seeking a skilled Logistics Officer to join our team at Alchemy Global Talent Solutions. As a Logistics Officer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all import and export tasks while maintaining client relationships, handling queries, and resolving complaints.

This role will involve:

  • Responding to customer inquiries and managing interactions effectively
  • Cultivating and sustaining strong relationships to drive business growth
  • Monitoring and following up on customer satisfaction levels
  • Actively promoting services during client engagements
  • Leading by example, embodying company values, and mentoring others
  • Overseeing and coordinating daily operational tasks
  • Managing feedback and implementing process improvements
  • Handling import/export documentation and ensuring compliance
  • Collaborating with international partners to resolve shipping and documentation issues
  • Negotiating costs with freight providers and subcontractors
  • Preparing competitive proposals and tender responses
  • Providing accurate and timely quotes for import and export services
  • Managing and reconciling financial transactions and maintaining accurate records
  • Conducting regular reporting and implementing actions based on findings
  • Efficiently processing and approving customer invoices
  • Keeping accurate records and databases related to shipping activities
  • Assisting with various administrative and data management tasks
  • Ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations, both administratively and operationally

Requirements for this role include:

  • Over 3 years' experience working in an operational role within the Freight Forwarding industry
  • Confident user of MS Office, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of EU Customs best practices for import and export is a distinct advantage
