Health and Social Care Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Social Care Educator to join our team at Regent College London. As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality teaching and learning materials to our students.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning:
- Deliver high-quality teaching sessions to students, including lectures, seminars, and tutorials.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and work with the attendance team to ensure the accuracy of student data.
- Develop and deliver teaching materials for modules, ensuring they are engaging and effective.
- Use digital tools and platforms to support teaching and learning, including VLEs and MS Teams.
- Contribute to the development of assessments and ensure they are approved in accordance with College procedures.
- Identify and escalate cases of possible academic misconduct.
- Student Support:
- Provide pastoral support to students, signposting them to specialist College services as needed.
- Monitor student progress and liaise with specialist services to ensure students receive the support they need.
- Quality Assurance:
- Contribute to Programme Committee meetings, ensuring the continuous improvement of student learning experiences.
- Engage with College quality assurance and academic governance frameworks.
- Contribute to the accreditation of programmes and quality control processes.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience of teaching, curriculum development, and quality management in a higher education environment.
- Significant experience within a subject area relevant to the School.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Ability to achieve key performance indicators through persuasion and negotiation.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
- Commitment to a high-performance culture, fostering continuous improvement and driving quality.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in a relevant subject discipline.
- Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA) or willingness to work towards.
- Experience of teaching, curriculum development, and quality management in a higher education environment.
- Appropriate digital skills in learning, teaching, and assessment.
- A PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area, or willingness to work towards.
- Membership of a Professional Statutory Regulatory Body (PSRB).
