About the Role

KCR Connect is partnering with a leading facilities management company to recruit a seasoned Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) professional for a key leadership position in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled M&E manager to oversee the maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reactive Maintenance: Lead and oversee all reactive maintenance activities for mechanical and electrical systems, prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure quick resolution of any issues.
  • Planned Maintenance: Ensure the delivery of planned maintenance, following industry guidelines and best practices, and develop mobile working solutions to track remedial actions across all planned works.
  • Resource Management: Manage and mentor a team of M&E technicians, providing ongoing training and support to drive team performance and skill growth.
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency, drive improvements in planned maintenance processes, and enhance mobile solutions.
  • Customer Communication: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to maintenance requests and working closely with the service delivery team to maintain clear communication with clients.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Stock Management: Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts, ensuring each team has adequate supplies.
Requirements
  • Strong experience managing maintenance operations for M&E teams.
  • In-depth hands-on experience in M&E engineering, with comprehensive knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in management software (e.g., CAFM, Microsoft Office).
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Desirable Criteria
  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualifications.
