Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Manager (FM)

KCR Connect is recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management company for a skilled Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager based in Belfast. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned M&E professional to take charge of overseeing both reactive and planned maintenance for mechanical and electrical teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee all reactive maintenance activities for mechanical and electrical systems, prioritizing and assigning tasks to ensure quick resolution of any issues.
  • Ensure the delivery of planned maintenance, following SFG20 guidelines, and develop mobile working solutions to track remedial actions across all planned works.
  • Manage and mentor a team of M&E technicians, providing ongoing training and support to drive team performance and skill growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve maintenance efficiency, drive improvements in planned maintenance processes, and mobile solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by responding promptly to maintenance requests and working closely with the service delivery team to maintain clear communication with clients.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular safety audits and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  • Oversee the procurement and management of spare parts, ensuring each team has adequate supplies.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience managing maintenance operations for M&E teams, with in-depth hands-on experience in M&E engineering and comprehensive knowledge of maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in management software (e.g., CAFM, Microsoft Office), strong leadership and decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • A degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, and relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualifications.
