Position Overview

We are seeking a Healthcare Operations Manager with extensive experience in Practice Management and a solid history in strategic planning, operational oversight, leadership, and administration to oversee our healthcare practices.

In the role of Healthcare Operations Manager, you will leverage your professional background to enhance value and foster growth within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality care.

2. Oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives and operational plans for the practices.

3. Identify and define the necessary components to execute the strategic objectives and business plans.

4. Manage all internal operations of the practices effectively.

5. Supervise daily administrative functions and operational activities across both practices.

6. Provide support and expertise to partners regarding the development of the corporate framework.

7. Develop and implement the organizational development strategy, quality enhancement plan, and business growth initiatives.

8. Familiarity with Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) is advantageous.

9. Actively participate in Primary Care networks and attend regular collaborative meetings.

About Our Organization

Parkview Surgery Ltd and Dr. Mahmood & Partners serve a combined patient base of 12,000 across two locations, experiencing an annual growth rate of approximately 5%. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to delivering innovative healthcare services.

Our organization features a Senior Management Team (SMT) that includes senior clinical and non-clinical members who are directly involved in decision-making processes.

The role is well-supported by two Reception Managers and a Data Coordinator.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will provide strategic, organizational, and operational support to the broader organization. This includes:

1. Leading and supporting both clinical and non-clinical management teams to ensure effective managerial support at all organizational levels.

2. Ensuring operational functions are efficient and effective across all sites.

3. Coordinating daily operations and providing hands-on support as necessary.

4. Promoting inclusive decision-making processes and ensuring all discussions are documented.

5. Establishing systems for effective internal management to drive continuous improvement.

6. Ensuring high-quality care is delivered to patients while meeting organizational goals and priorities.

7. Maintaining compliance with the organizational assurance framework and staff matrix.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification/experience.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional and personal development.

  • Extensive management and leadership experience at a senior level in primary care or healthcare commissioning.
  • Advanced strategic and operational experience.
  • Proven financial management skills with a business-oriented approach to healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational performance within financial constraints.
  • Experience in capacity planning and translating organizational strategy into operational objectives.
  • Understanding of healthcare planning processes and key national healthcare issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to unite teams across systems.
  • Experience in human resource management and staff development.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with all staff, including clinicians, in complex organizations.
  • Strong track record of leading significant organizational change.
