In this role, you will play a vital part in designing cutting-edge automated Sample Preparation products used in the clinical diagnostics industry. Your expertise will contribute to the development of the next generation of scientific instruments that advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical design guidance and support to fellow engineers within the team.
  • Interpret engineering specifications and produce detailed designs to ensure high-quality products are delivered on schedule.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product performance.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical engineering challenges related to Clinical Systems development.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and external partners to brainstorm innovative design solutions.
  • Research and source materials and technologies suitable for medical device construction, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in mechanical design and engineering within the automation sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical device materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Expertise in precision electro-mechanical assemblies and their integration.
  • Strong grasp of design for manufacturability and cost optimization principles.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience working within a recognized quality management system (e.g., ISO 13485).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software.
