The Friendly Toast is a unique all-day brunch and bar restaurant with an eclectic, scratch-made menu. We pride ourselves on work-life balance, starting with a 45-hour work week, where the bulk of work hours are between 7a.m. and 3p.m. We also offer 80 hours of accrued paid time off for the first two years, and 120 hours of accrued paid time off after three years.

We are seeking engaging, motivated, problem-solvers who are ready to oversee daily operations and take on the responsibilities of a management role. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including managing staff and ensuring high-quality customer service
  • Hire, train, and schedule employees to ensure adequate coverage and optimal team performance
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the executive chef to develop and maintain a diverse, scratch-made menu that exceeds guest expectations
  • Provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests and team members
  • Evaluate employee performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans as necessary
Requirements:
  • Experience in restaurant management, including experience in hiring, training, and supervising employees
  • Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and fostering a positive workplace culture
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience managing inventory and ordering supplies
  • Passion for scratch-made food and commitment to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all guests and team members
  • Ability to perform all functions at the restaurant level, including delivery when needed
