Job Title: Team Leader – Poplar HARCA

Job Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed-term until 30 September 2025

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team at Poplar HARCA, an award-winning housing association in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the delivery of a service that provides a welcoming place for members of the community to access local services and support.

The Team Leader will work closely with the Community Connector to serve as the first point of contact for residents and Poplar HARCA tenants, providing support for people to engage with services and activities. This role aims to build relationships, identify peoples' interests and goals, and find appropriate opportunities for support.

The Team Leader will also be responsible for promoting a positive culture of collaboration and innovation within the team and with external partners. They will work to ensure that members of the community are aware of support available to them locally and co-design, develop, deliver, and review resident-led activities and initiatives within the space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the delivery of the service to ensure people are offered an inclusive and warm welcome.
  • Work closely with the Community Connector to provide support for people to engage with services and activities.
  • Build relationships, identify peoples' interests and goals, and find appropriate opportunities for support.
  • Promote a positive culture of collaboration and innovation within the team and with external partners.
  • Ensure that members of the community are aware of support available to them locally.
  • Co-design, develop, deliver, and review resident-led activities and initiatives within the space.
