Payroll Manager Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at Equal Education Partners. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation while adhering to all government regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for our temporary workers, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process for our internal staff, maintaining accurate records and reports for audit purposes.
  • Oversee international payments, ensuring timely and secure transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, staying up-to-date with changes and updates.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate data on employee remuneration and deductions, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process payroll inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Implement improvements in payroll systems and procedures, ensuring streamlined processes and efficient use of resources.
Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Payroll Manager or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance, with a proven track record of ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation.
  • Proven experience working with BrightPay and Xero, with a strong understanding of payroll and accounting software.
  • Payroll certification (e.g., CIPP, APA, or equivalent) is highly desirable, demonstrating a high level of expertise and knowledge in the field.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in payroll and accounting software (preferably Xero or equivalent), with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively, with a strong sense of organization and time management.
