Job Description: Rail Design Change Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rail Design Change Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth implementation of design changes within rail projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to guide decision-making processes related to rail systems, reviewing design proposals and offering recommendations to resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop and implement a structured change management process for design alterations within rail projects, prioritizing transparency and efficiency.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all design change requests, including their origins, details, and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to assess the impact of design changes on project schedules, budgets, and overall objectives.
  • Identify potential risks associated with design changes and work collaboratively with relevant teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that all design changes adhere to relevant rail industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication between the design team, project managers, contractors, and clients regarding design change requests and their implications.
  • Monitor the quality of design changes to maintain high standards while managing costs effectively.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of design changes, including their resolution and any outstanding issues.
  • Collaborate with the design team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of design changes into the project scope.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in rail project management.
  • Strong knowledge of rail industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
