We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to join our team as a Technical Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our staff and stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing technical support and assistance to staff and stakeholders
- Installing and troubleshooting PC/printer hardware/software
- Server Virtualisation and Windows Operating systems - client and server
- IP networking and fundamentals
- Communicating complex technical issues to users at all levels
- Working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Prioritising tasks and solving problems
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- A valid driving licence to drive in the UK
- Own vehicle suitable for movement of equipment
- Degree level or experience and evidenced continuous development
- ECDL, CLAIT, NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or Microsoft MCP Yes Certification/application
- Demonstrable specialist knowledge of, and experience in: Windows Server based computers Server Virtualisation/VMWare/ Nutanix / Rubrik
Qualities
The successful candidate will possess:
- Ability to work together and as part of the wider infrastructure and digital teams
- Decision making and problem solving
- Ability to communicate highly complex technical issues using jargon free terminology, to users at all levels
- Able to communicate in report format, diagrams
