Position: Senior/Supervising Social Worker
Salary Range: £30,338 - £41,052 per annum based on experience

Today, FCA stands as one of the largest and most experienced independent fostering agencies in the country. Despite our size, we maintain a personal touch, fostering a family-like environment where we are dedicated to supporting every child and foster parent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist foster parents and their families in achieving exceptional outcomes for all children and young people in foster care.
- Evaluate and ensure the ongoing suitability and competence of foster parents, guaranteeing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children and young people.
- Ensure that foster carers fully comprehend the fostering responsibilities, required competencies, and expected standards, including the procedures for complaints and representation as outlined in FCA policies.
- Provide regular supervision to assigned foster parents in accordance with FCA's Operational Standards.
- Collaborate in a team-oriented approach to identify needs within the foster family, such as respite, activities, therapy, and holidays, engaging with all members of the child's support network.
- Ensure compliance with all essential documentation for each child and foster parent.
- Attend meetings and/or prepare reports for Commissioning Teams to address individual care packages.
- Encourage the participation of children and young people in the agency's development and in accessing local community resources and opportunities.
- Participate in an 'out of hours' support service on a rotational basis.
- Engage in a day 'duty system' on a rotational basis to support the referrals team.
- Conduct occasional initial home visits and Form F Assessments.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A recognized Social Work qualification.
- Professional registration with Social Work England or an equivalent body.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality reports.
- A thorough understanding of relevant legislation and child safeguarding protocols.
- Willingness and capability to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
- Confidence in transporting children and young people in potentially challenging situations.
- Valid driving license.
