About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Operator to join our team at DCS Group (UK) Ltd. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our mixing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mixing Operations: You will be responsible for the full mixing operations within our manufacturing facility, ensuring that all products meet the required specifications.
  • Safety and Quality: You will follow established safety, hygiene, and quality standards to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: You will operate and maintain mixing equipment and machinery for the production of various products, ensuring that they are in good working condition.
  • Product Testing: You will test and approve mixed products to meet required specifications, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Raw Material Handling: You will manage raw material handling, ensuring proper receipt and storage, and maintaining accurate records.
  • 5S Deployment: You will lead 5S deployment across the mixing area to maintain an organized workspace, ensuring that all areas are clean and tidy.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate with management and colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve production problems, ensuring that we maintain our high standards.
  • Production Planning: You will execute production plans to meet demand and quality standards, ensuring that we meet our customer requirements.
  • Maintenance Support: You will support the engineering team by reporting maintenance requirements and assisting with repairs, ensuring that our equipment is in good working condition.
  • Process Improvement: You will continuously improve mixing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, ensuring that we maintain our competitive edge.
  • Training and Development: You will train new team members on mixing procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices, ensuring that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: You will hold a RQF Level 2 / GCSE (Grades A*-C) or equivalent in Maths and English, and a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) licence.
  • Experience: You will have experience in FMCG manufacturing/production processes, with previous experience in mixing environments, ideally in chemicals, detergents, solvents, paints, alcohol, or building materials.
  • Technical Knowledge: You will have technical knowledge of mixing equipment and processes, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You will have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
  • ISO Standards: You will have an understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards, and be able to maintain accurate records for production, quality control, and inventory management.
