Senior Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner to join our award-winning team in South Devon and Torbay. As a key member of our CAMHS crisis services, you will play a vital role in providing expert assessment and evidence-based treatment for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a professional mental health qualification and active registration with the appropriate professional body. You will have substantial experience of managing a complex caseload and working with children and young people presenting with a range of mental health presentations. You will also have excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with children and young people of all ages, and experience of delivering model-based psychological therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert assessment and evidence-based treatment for children and young people with complex mental health difficulties
- Manage a defined caseload and work collaboratively with other professionals to provide integrated healthcare for children and young people
- Contribute to the development of the team and service, including participating in audit, evaluation, and review
- Engage in team and service development, including participating in audit, evaluation, and review
- Professional mental health qualification and active registration with the appropriate professional body
- Substantial experience of managing a complex caseload and working with children and young people presenting with a range of mental health presentations
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with children and young people of all ages
- Experience of delivering model-based psychological therapy
