Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at South West Recruitment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Assembly department, ensuring the smooth delivery of our cabling systems to our clients in the automotive and defence markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Assembly department, ensuring that production plans are met and deadlines are achieved.
  2. Collaborate with our Manufacturing Lead, Production Engineers, and Machine Operators to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
  3. Supervise and train Machine Operators, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  4. Manage the team's workload, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to meet production demands.
  5. Monitor and control machine settings, ensuring that they are set up and operated safely and efficiently.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in a similar electrical or electronics sector in a light electromechanical assembly environment.
  2. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues.
  5. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.
