Senior Planning Engineer - Defence (Construction)

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Engineer to join our Defence (Construction) team in Leeds. As a key member of our Project Controls team, you will be responsible for providing performance reporting and analysis support on high-profile defence projects throughout North Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines in collaboration with cost and planning engineers.
  • Establish progress and cost monitoring methods to ensure accurate project control.
  • Produce project control reports and provide performance analysis and recommendations to clients.
  • Work with Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, and PMO tools to deliver project success.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a project controls environment within the defence/nuclear sector.
  • Experience in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, Project Controls, and PMO.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to innovate in creative ways to meet project challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow documented processes and governance.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera, MS Project, Excel, and PRISM (Cost Management System).
