We're seeking a skilled Digitisation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for the conservation and digitisation of collections held by The National Archives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Complete conservation and scanning training to ensure high-quality digitisation
* Operate and maintain equipment to ensure efficient and effective digitisation
* Quality assure resulting images to ensure accuracy and attention to detail
* Be accountable for the quality and throughput of your work

Requirements:

* Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
* Excellent organisation skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Pride in your work and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proven IT ability and experience with digital equipment

Desirable but not essential:

* Previous experience of similar project work
* General knowledge and appreciation of history and genealogy
* General knowledge of paper conservation and photography

Salary: £25,350 per annum
