As a Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT, working closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.
- See patients in the community, out-patients, and occasional liaison patients, undertaking one outpatient clinic per week and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week.
- Provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT, working collaboratively with social care and other agencies.
- Develop and implement effective clinical governance, prioritizing workload, and actively participating in clinical audit.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with a range of professionals, promoting effective team working and interagency partnership working.

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification.
- Approved clinician Status and Section 12(MHA) approval.
- Higher specialist training in old age psychiatry or equivalent experience.
- Experience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty.
- Experience of close collaborative work with social care and other agencies.
