Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to lead our children's home team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead and manage a team of staff to provide child-centered care and support in a safe and stable environment.
  2. Develop and maintain a stimulating environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual well-being of our residents.
  3. Allocate and prioritize tasks, identify areas for improvement, and develop individual and team development plans.
  4. Safeguard and promote the welfare of our residents, managing challenging behavior and working with partners to deliver integrated services.
  5. Lead on policy development, planning, and implementation, ensuring that our services reflect the needs of our residents.
  6. Manage delegated budgets, seek partnership funding, and ensure that resources are effectively deployed to provide high-quality services.
  7. Delegate responsibility for computerized care plans, reports, and assessments, and respond to internal and external inspections, audits, complaints, and investigations.
  8. Represent the service, liaising with statutory bodies, key local bodies, and other professionals to share information and develop services.
  9. Comply with legislation, statutory requirements, and departmental policies, ensuring that staff are briefed and trained accordingly.
  10. Oversee the recruitment, induction, development, and management of staff, ensuring that they perform to a high standard and maintain required levels of competence and attendance.
  11. Take responsibility for own professional development and participate in supervision, appraisal, and training events.
