Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Shift Details: Refer to the attached schedule
Employment Type: Permanent
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to become part of our Lifeguard team at Blantyre Leisure Centre.
Your primary responsibility will be to report to the Duty Officer and oversee the daily operations of the Centre, ensuring that all facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and secure manner in line with established protocols. You will also engage in various tasks including supervising the swimming pool and performing cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
- A valid Pool Lifeguard qualification is mandatory.
- A first aid certification is preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
Important Considerations:
This position is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order.
It is classified as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and Protected Adults, as per the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. Consequently, it is illegal to apply if you are barred from working with children or protected adults.
