About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Magdalene Utilities Delivery Team in the UK.

As a key member of our Contract Delivery team, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end commercial management and control of all projects within your area of responsibility.

Your primary objective will be to drive contract margin through maximising value and minimising cost, while providing key commercial and contractual advice to our operational team to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities.

You will work collaboratively with our Operational Teams and Senior Management to ensure effective management account procedures are in place to support business-critical reporting and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier management within the contract
  • Contract administration, including issuing of appropriate contractual notices
  • Maximising margin through effective commercial controls
  • Minimising inefficiency through effective risk management and cost control
  • Providing critical commercial support to the operational project teams and PMO
  • Management accounts and reporting
  • Any other commercial management activity required
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor or relevant experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet key deadlines in a pressurised, target-driven environment, while maintaining a customer-focused ethos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently and in a team-based environment to achieve programme targets
  • Demonstrable willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Telecoms experience is desirable but not essential, subject to the candidate demonstrating experience in the responsibilities outlined above
