Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Evening X-ray Assistant to support our radiology department. This role involves a variety of clerical and operational tasks essential for the smooth functioning of the radiology services.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform clerical tasks, including managing the Radiology Information System and E.D. Agyle system.
- Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate before examinations or investigations.
- Maintain precise and legible records, ensuring all documentation is signed and dated according to departmental policies.
- Assist in the safe movement of patients, equipment, and supplies.
- Keep patient and staff areas clean and organized, including routine cleaning of X-ray equipment.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of consumables in X-ray rooms.
- Responsible for accurate record-keeping and quality input of patient data into Trust IT systems.
- Maintain compliance with mandatory training and competency requirements, including resuscitation techniques, health and safety, fire safety, and manual handling.
- Adhere to all departmental protocols and policies.
- Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and decision-making abilities.
- Exhibit flexibility in working arrangements to meet patient needs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by mutual agreement to support the development of the role.
