About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Leonard Cheshire UK. As a Care Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care and Support: Assist with daily life tasks, including personal care, medication, and mealtimes, to ensure the well-being and dignity of our customers.
  • Escort and Support: Safely escort and assist customers in and around the service, at external events, and appointments, promoting their independence and confidence.
  • Person-Centred Approach: Support our customers in achieving their individual aspirations, promoting maximum independence and quality of life.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with customers, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility and Creativity: Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families, adapting to their needs and preferences.
  • Personal Care Experience: Ideally possess personal care experience, although this is not essential.
  • Teamwork and Pressure Management: Demonstrate ability to work under pressure and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Flexibility and Availability: Be flexible to work within rostered hours and participate in an on-call rota when required.
