Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at VL Test Systems Ltd. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining our high-quality Commercial Vehicle testing equipment sold to customers throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, service, calibrate, and test equipment at customer sites
  • Attend breakdowns, fault-find, and repair equipment
  • Advise customers and service office of any potential issues
  • Follow company policies and processes, and project VL Test Systems as a first-class professional company
  • Work with other colleagues to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the company

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an engineering service, calibration, service, or commissioning role
  • Previous experience within the Commercial Vehicle sector preferred
  • Numerate and able to communicate in English (both verbally and written)
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office
  • Motivated and dynamic
  • Presentable
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Ability to liaise with Directors and Workshop staff alike
  • A clean driving licence preferred
  • Flexible with working hours
