Our client is currently seeking a Fire and Security Systems Technician.
Position Overview

We are in search of motivated Fire and Security Systems Technicians to become part of our expanding team.

In this position, you will benefit from continuous training, support, and professional growth while working on a diverse array of fire and security solutions for both residential and commercial clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service fire and security systems across various environments
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across all disciplines
  • Collaborate independently and as part of a team to complete projects on schedule and to industry standards
  • Prepare detailed installation documentation and complete electronic submissions

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of substantial installation experience in the fire and security sector
  • Experience with industrial, commercial, and residential installations and maintenance
  • Familiarity with equipment from multiple manufacturers
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Installation and maintenance of systems such as Hikvision, Paxton, Scantronic, Texecom, Galaxy, Morley/Kentec Fire, and Nurse Call Systems
  • Capability to install systems in accordance with BAFE and NSI Gold industry standards

Personal Qualities:

  • Reliable, positive, and proactive
  • Detail-oriented and systematic
  • Efficient with time and able to work independently

Essential Requirements:

  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • ECS Card with a minimum of 6 months validity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IP systems
  • Certification in Fire Extinguisher installation and servicing
  • IPAF, PASMA, and Asbestos Awareness certifications

Contractual Details:

  • Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Standby Duties: Paid retainer plus paid call outs, rotating every 4 days among all technicians
  • Salary Range: £36,000 - £38,000
  • Vacation: 23 days paid holiday plus UK statutory Bank Holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Pension: Automatic enrollment in the workplace pension scheme after a 3-month probation period, with an option to opt out
