Job Title: Hourly Paid Lecturer in AAT

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced lecturer to join our team as an Hourly Paid Lecturer in Accounting and AAT. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our students, with a focus on AAT Accounting up to Level 4 and Payroll up to Level 3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective teaching to students, using a range of methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Prepare and deliver schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials, ensuring that they are aligned with the College's curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students, including one-to-one tutorials and group sessions, to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Participate in the interviewing, enrolment, and induction of students, using information on their starting points to inform teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the College's curriculum and assessment strategies, working with colleagues to ensure that our programs are relevant, effective, and meet the needs of our students and employers.
Requirements:
  • A Teaching Qualification, such as DTLLS, Cert. Ed/PGCE, or equivalent, is essential for this role.
  • An appropriate qualification in Accounting and AAT is also required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development, with a willingness to engage in training and CPD to enhance teaching and learning.
