ROLE PROFILE:

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Contracts Manager to ensure project delivery aligns with the high-level objectives of the business. They will ensure that project teams adhere to the project remit, budget, and agreed timelines while effectively communicating project awareness internally and externally.

With a background in utilities, you will play a pivotal role in our team, serving as the central point for all project activities and contributing to the development of business strategies for future growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Manage multiple projects while supporting a broader team of Project Managers and Site Managers.
  • Lead and take ownership of all tasks related to the RA projects under your management.
  • Collaborate with relevant RA teams in areas such as pre-design, safety management, subcontractor evaluation, client engagement, and overall project management.
  • Oversee internal and external resource management.
  • Assist in providing engineering solutions.
  • Support financial reporting, process management, and quality assurance to meet established standards.
  • Work with our commercial and procurement teams from a technical standpoint to establish framework agreements with various contractors for project execution.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, delivering exceptional customer service to surpass client expectations.
  • Promote and adhere to Reach Active Group Limited's Health and Safety policies and risk management practices.
  • Ensure timely completion and issuance of all required site documentation, including JSSP, DWR, H&S documentation, KPI documentation, and project reports.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation traceability processes within your delivery team.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience in the utility sector is essential, particularly in site management, product knowledge, and understanding site conditions and construction law. Strong customer service skills, interpersonal abilities, and excellent organizational skills are crucial for this role.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Installation of 11kV Switchgear (panel boards and packaged substations)
  • Commissioning of switchgear
  • Earth testing
  • Jointing appreciation
  • Substation access up to and including 132kV
  • Understanding of G81 or DNO equivalent
  • Substation base installation experience
  • Knowledge of DNO equipment
  • Experience in managing contract conditions (e.g., NEC/JCT)
  • ICP Management (Civils and Electrical)
  • CSCS Professional Card (White) or Engineering Services Skill Card (Black)
  • IT Literacy
  • First Aid at Work (3 Day Qualification)
  • Full UK Driving License

DESIRED:

  • NRSWA (Supervisor)
  • HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent relevant industry qualification
  • City & Guilds Basic Electrical Theory
  • Lifting Operations Appointed Person (AP)
  • Confined Spaces Appointed Person (AP)
  • Confined Space Entry Certification
  • Cable Winch Operations Certification
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • Manual Handling

Additional Information:

This role may require travel to various company sites, with occasional overnight stays as necessary. Due to the nature of our work, managers may need to cover out-of-hours responsibilities, including weekends and some nights, to support project teams.
