Our Leamington facility features a state-of-the-art paint shop, where we handle a diverse range of automotive products including concept vehicles, showcase models, clay prototypes, design iterations, carbon fibre and composite materials, metals, plastics, and other prototype substances.
Job Summary:
We are in search of talented and meticulous
Paint Specialists to become part of our team at
Futura Design.
The ideal candidates will possess exceptional surfacing and preparation abilities, a sharp eye for detail, and the capacity to excel in a dynamic environment.
Your role will involve applying paint to various automotive products, ensuring the highest quality finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation:
Prepare surfaces of different materials such as metals, plastics, carbon fibre, and composite materials for painting.
Sand, fill, and smooth surfaces to achieve the desired finish.
Apply primers and undercoats as necessary.
Painting:
Utilize various techniques to apply paint and achieve premium finishes on concept vehicles, showcase models, clay prototypes, design iterations, and other prototypes.
Ensure uniform application and impeccable finishes through meticulous attention to detail and precision.
Quality Control:
Examine painted surfaces for imperfections and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Conduct touch-ups and refinishing as required to uphold high-quality outputs.
Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to prevent contamination.
Equipment Maintenance:
Keep and clean painting equipment, ensuring it remains in optimal working condition.
Report any equipment issues or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
Collaboration and Support:
Collaborate closely with the design and engineering teams to fulfill project specifications and timelines.
Occasionally assist with painting tasks at our Coventry site as needed.
Provide insights on enhancing painting processes and techniques.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a
Paint Specialist in the automotive sector.
Proficient in various painting techniques and surface preparation methods.
Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
Ability to work efficiently.
